Coaches Efren and Glenda Montgomery have a true passion and knowledge for the game of basketball. Coach Glenda began her career at Sebastian River High School where she coached the girls’ high school basketball team to an impressive record of 19-4.
Coach Efrem and Glenda later joined the staff at Indian River State College (IRSC). As Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball team for 12 years, they led the team to four state tournaments. They were also two years Southern Conference Runner-Ups, one year Southern Conference Tournament Champs and one year regular season Southern Conference Champions. Coach Glenda was also named Coach of the Year that same year. In addition, Coach Glenda and Efren were also credited with one of their girl basketball player, Cheniree Winns, being selected as a Pre-Season All American which was a first in the history of IRSC.
Upon leaving IRSC, Coach Glenda and Coach Efrem, both joined the coaching staff at Fort Pierce Central, where Glenda was the head coach for the girls’ junior varsity basketball team. In addition, Coach Efrem also served as coach for the junior varsity boys’ basketball team with an impressive record of 13-1 in 2009-2010.
Other achievements include coordinators/coaches for the Resurrection Life Family Worship summer basketball league camp for 6 years where over 300 children participated during the life of the program. They’re most notable achievement is the basketball accomplishments of their three children, Brittni, Brandy, and Efrem Jr. Brittni, the oldest, was named a 2010 McDonald All American Nominee. Brittini was scouted by numerous Division 1 schools including South Florida and Georgia Tech for her unique basketball talent. She signed with Virginia Tech. Brandy, a sophomore at Lincoln Park Academy, is following in her sister’s footsteps. She too is now being scouted by some of the same Division 1 schools. Efrem Jr, a fifth grader at Fairlawn Elementary, is one of the top players in the 10-11 year old travel basketball AAU circuit.

Treasure Coast Elite (TCE) is a non-profit 501(c)3 travel basketball organization base in Port Saint Lucie, Florida and pride themselves with a group of exceptional kids, parents and coaches. With two brand new coaches and a brand new name, our new team is training harder and more efficiently than ever! We have re-established ourselves as an elite organization with an impressive record from last season when we traveled with our 4th grade team.
We belong to the country’s most organized basketball programs, AAU & USSSA. Our players have the opportunity to learn the game of basketball in the spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship.
Our philosophy is to develop a great team of boys that are committed to teamwork, good sportsmanship, respect and personal accountability. We strive to input a sense of worth in all our players, which will illustrate the importance of academics, friendships, self discipline and decision making. All these skills will help them become leaders and active members of society. We provide a well organized and high quality youth basketball experience that emphasizes fun, skill development, confidence building, and character enhancement, within a safe and friendly environment.
In addition to our travel organization, TCE also sponsors weekend, holidays, and summer basketball camps to all interested boys and girls ages 9 and up. Our basketball camps are taught by coaches with over 25 years of experienced combined. They are highly motivated and highly recognized coaches within our community and are dedicated to the development of our youth in the community.
